Dell expands Optiplex desktop PC line

Dell Computer Corporation has expanded its OptiPlex desktop PC line with its smallest form factor desktop that is 44 per cent smaller than the current OptiPlex L PC. With a height of 3.6 inches, width of 12.5 inches and depth of 14.9 inches, the small form factor OptiPlex GX1 features Intel Pentium III and Pentium II processors. According to John Legere, president, Asia Pacific, Dell: ``Customers appreciate the fact that they don't need dedicated resources to validate and qualify systems but instead can immediately deploy this chasis into environments that already support other GX1 systems.

New jet printers from Canon

Canon has introduced new generation bubble jet printers, BJC 6000 and BJC 7100, priced at Rs 16,000 and Rs 18,000, respectively. The BJC incorporates a patented Plain Paper Optimised (PPOP) technology, which involves pre-spraying the printing surface with a water-resistant fortifying agent that helps set the dye and recreates prints thatwill not be ruined by moisture. It also uses seven colours and 25 levels of gradation for contrast and vivid colours. Moreover, both the printers are USB ready.

Their versatility makes them capable of printing on a wide range of materials like T-shirts, fabric sheets, transparencies and banners.

Shoppers Club formed

The Oberoi Shopping Arcade in Mumbais, which houses 243 shopping establishments, has formed the `Shoppers Club' - the new unified identity for marketing and promotional activities carried out by member establishments.

Each member establishment will contribute to the corpus of the Brand Equity Fund which will carry out a strategic exercise and streamline communication with its most important audience - the Shoppers.

The aim of the exercise is to relate to its customers and to offer a unique shopping experience. Not to mention the benefits and privileges the member customers can avail of in and outside the arcade.
