MUMBAI, July 25: In a top-level reshuffle, head of Citibank's global consumer banking business in India, Nanoo G Pamnani will take over as chief executive officer of Citibank NA, India, the bank in a statement issued on Sunday said.Simultaneously, head of Citibank's corporate finance and capital markets activities for Africa, central and eastern Europe, Sujit Banerji, will also takes over as head for global corporate and investment banking for India, Sri Lanka,Bangladesh and Nepal. Both changes come into effect on August 1,1999, the statement said. Pamnani and Banerji will take over from David Conner -- who holds both posts, the bank said. Conner, after a three-year stint has been transferred to Citibank, Japan and will be responsible for the bank's global corporate banking activity in Japan.
Citibank is a member of Citigroup, the largest and most diversified provider of financial services in the world. Pamnani began his career with Citibank in 1967 and has had extensive experience across variousbusinesses in India, Asia Pacific and emerging markets. Banerji joined the bank in India in 1976 as a management associate and then moved through a nember of roles in operations and relationship management in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai.
