Modi Xerox's new high speed printer

Modi Xerox has introduced a new high speed, robust and economical colour laser printer, the MX 2400C. The new printer uses four mono-components toners contained in a spill-resistant cartridge, which are all colour-coded and keyed to prevent improper installation. The printer provides 2400 dpi class printing and a unique Colour Advances Photoscale Technology which enhance image quality and smoother edges.

MX 2400C prints 4 colour pages per minutes (PPM) while the monochrome speed is 16 ppm. Transparencies can be created at 2ppm (colour) and 8 ppm (black and white). It also has a number of other user-friendly features like intelligent sleep mode, manual duplex, poster printing. The long-lasting toner cartridge lasts for 10,000 B&W pages and 6,000 colour pages and the cost per print works out to Rs 5 per page, which is the cheapest available in the market, according to a company statement.

Blue Bunnies hop into town

Blue Bunny ice cream is expanding inthe Indian market by having 25 varieties of frozen desserts and diet specials. A brand of Wells Dairy Inc, US, Blue Bunny will not have a manufacturing base in India but will be importing its products through its sole marketing partners Sno Shack Frozen Foods. Blue Bunny is already available in over 25 shopping centres at petrol pumps in Delhi. But Sno Shack is not looking for exclusive vends. It will retail out of neighborhood shops to enable faster turnover, a company statement said.

Blue Bunny ice creams are targeted at the premium segment starting at Rs 15 for an ice candy, Rs 25 for a 118 ml cup serving and Rs 300 for a gallon.Blue Bunny has three flavours in family packs: Double Strawberry, Cookies`n' Cream and Toasted Almond Fudge; it has a range of novelty desserts like Cherry Bomb Pop, Cool Tubes, Big Dipper Vanilla Cone and Ice Cream Sandwiches.

Dash for it, kids

Titan Watches has introduced a new ranges of watches only for kids. After nine months of research, the brand team has come upwith colourful, imaginative designs that will capture the children's imagination. Created for 6 to 14-year-olds, these watches come in 28 snazzy designs and a range of colours. The watches are priced between Rs 250 and Rs 395. The watches for boys will have a sporty look with gizmos like stopwatches, etc, while the one for girls will have pretty florals and designs.

All the watches use quartz movements, have all plastic bodies and are water resistant up to 30 metres and come with a year-long guarantee. Titan is looking at a population of 35 million children, of which 50 per cent could be their potential customers.

On top of the World

Lakme India has hit the stores with a new look mass market product, called `On Top Of The World Lakme'. This is its fourth new brand after Elle18, Ultra and Orchids. The company is aiming at women in their twenties living in metros and class I cities. It has a new range of 30 colours in lipsticks and nail enamels along with kajal, eyeliner and compacts. The lipstickwill retail at Rs 74, nail enamel at Rs 48, the compact Rs 46, the eyeliner Rs 38 and the kajal Rs 20.

The new line is meant to take on some MNC brands like Maybelline and L'Oreal which are in a similar price range. The `On Top Of The World' range is available in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Calcutta at present, and will be available in the rest of Indian by mid-August, company sources said.
