NIIT to launch e-billing, payment solutionsNIIT on Wednesday announced the launch of "Easy Pay Server", the internet-based billing and payment system to help firms to present electronic bills to the consumer for online payments. The consumers can benefit from paying their bills online to companies using the Easy Pay Server with an instant global access to their bills and in turn schedule recurring payments, a top company official said on the side-lines of a seminar on e-commerce organised by Ficci in New Delhi on Wednesday. "This service would eliminate costs of printing, postage, processing and advertising and would provide billers a flexibility to tailor a bill to reach the customer," Dhruv Nath, vice-president of NIIT, said.

Microtek International has launched what it claims is the world's most advanced 15" 69 khz colour monitor. Additional features include 120 W PMPO multimedia speakers, built-in microphone, front panel stereo volume control and a socket forhead phone and external microphone. "We are selling it at a maximum retail price of only Rs 8,000," said company director Anil Gupta.

Sun Microsystems has claimed a victory in scalable enterprise computing by breaking two world records for performance in recent benchmark tests of BaanERP software applications. The tests were completed on a Sun Enterprise 10000 server, commonly known as Starfire, and a Sun StorEdge A5200 disk array.
