Blue Dart turnover rises 16 per centBlue Dart Express Ltd announced an increase of 16 per cent in sales for the first quarter ended June 30 as compared to the first quarter of the previous year. The domestic core products have grown by over 28 per cent as compared to the previous year and the company recorded a profit before tax of Rs 182 lakh.
Alkyl Amines posts Rs 1.57cr Q1 net
Alkyl Amines Chemicals Ltd, one of the leading manufacturers of amines and amine derivatives, on Tuesday reported a 54 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 1.57 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 1999 over the corresponding period last year. Total income increased by 13 per cent to Rs 18.68 crore.
Gabriel India sales up
Gabriel India recorded sales of Rs 56 crore in April-June of the fiscal 1999-2000, 23 per cent rise over Q1 sales in 1998-99. The net profit touched Rs 77 lakh in Q1, major turnaround over last year's performance when the company recorded a loss of Rs 1.22 crore in April-June1998-99.
Tata Investment net down
Tata Investment Corporation has posted a lower net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 1999, at Rs 5.61 crore from Rs 6.63 crore in the same period last year. Total income for the quarter also dropped to Rs 6.67 crore from Rs 7.47 crore.
Suvarna Cement shares sold
IDBI has announced that it has sold 1.72 lakh shares of Suvarna Cement Ltd at a price of Rs 12 a share to Hyderabad Bottling Co in response to its public offer. The sale transaction constitutes 1 per cent of the paid-up capital of the company.
