Texas Instruments opens DSP centreTexas Instruments (India) Ltd has opened its first digital signal processing (DSP) centre in India at the Indian Institute of Science and Technology, Bangalore on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Texas Instruments Inc vice-president Mike Hames said with the growing demand for Indian software engineers worldwide, it was important for the company to take initiatives in providing state-of-the-art technology for Indian universities. "With the opening of this centre, we extend our commitment in building up a future-ready DSP skill base in Indian universities," he added.
The DSP centre would have a spectrum of capabilities including VLSI design technology. Texas Instruments plans to open 22 such tech-labs and centres in the country during the year. The company has already set up nine labs and one DSP centre while the rest of the projects are expected to be finalised by October.
SDRC receives orders worth $9m from Xerox
US-based Structural DynamicsResearch Corporation (SDRC) on Tuesday said it had received orders worth more than $9 million from Xerox Corporation. The deployment of the software and technology under this order will encompass multiple Xerox locations throughout America and Europe, a top SDRC official said in New Delhi.
