Hyderabad, July 19: Visualsoft (India) Ltd (VIL) has reported impressive financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 1999 with 327 per cent increase in the net profit to Rs 5.43 crore as against Rs 1.27 crore for the same period last year.As per the unaudited results announced by the company on Saturday, VIL has registered a sale of Rs 12.76 crore as against Rs 4.01 crore for the first quarter last year. The turnover includes Rs 5.94 crore accrued from the sale of products VisualSHIFT, VS WebProject, and VS WebDev.
During the peirod under review, the company has provided Rs 47 lakh for depreciation while Rs 5 lakh was earmarked towards taxes. VIL has entered into distribution agreements with several distributors during the quarter for marketing VisualSHIFT, VS WebProject, VS WebDev.
For the quarter, the company continued the earlier adopted accelerated depreciation policy, which resulted in the higher depreciation by Rs 30.80 lakh. During the previous year, VIL had posted a turnover of Rs30.81 crore and reported a net profit of Rs 11.61 crore.
