Hyderabad, July 11: Andhra Pradesh government is planning to complete its AP state wide area network (APSWAN) by the end of this month to provide high-speed connectivity between the state capital and district headquarters.This is as part of efforts to usher in electronic governance through integrated use of information technology. "We are giving finishing touches to the network which will serve as the backbone for voice, video and data communication throughout the state," officials of the state-owned AP Technology Services (APTS) told PTI here.
APSWAN will provide connectivity, through an optical fibre line, for all departments to improve intra-government and government-citizen interface, data communication, data sharing among various wings for efficient and transparent administration.
