Open Market ties up with LG SoftInternet commerce software major Open Market Inc has joined hands with LG Soft India to run its India Engineering Centre in Bangalore. The centre will be involved in product engineering, maintenance, internationalisation and localisation apart from providing developer support for the company's products, according to a release.
Online business magazine launched
Information Company has launched the country's first online business magazine, Domain-B. The magazine, edited by Kiron Kasbekar, former editor of Economic Times and managing editor of Business India, aims to provide focussed and organised business information. The site, www.domain-b.com, has hyperlinks to various articles and related areas and cross-referencing facility between articles and lists.
Euclid India
Delhi-based Euclid India Ltd has designed and implemented a state-of-the-art structured cabling network for Cisco Systems at its R&D facility in Banglore. According to a companyrelease, this is the first network of its kind in the country to deploy single and multi-mode fibres for indoor applications. The cabling network was designed and built on Lucent Technologies's components and adhere to international standards, said Euclid India head Andra Delip Kumar.
BARC's supercomputer
In a major breakthrough, the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre has developed a cost-effective `Anupam Pentium Supercomputer' with a speed three times that of `cray/Y-MP' class of supercomputers.
