StanChart unveils rail card
Standard Chartered Bank has unveiled a co-branded credit card with Indian Railways called `Standard Chartered Rail credit card.' A card-holder can use tele-booking faility to buy railway tickets. Tickets thus booked will be handed over to card-holders through a special counter.
Visa ATMs cross 5 lakh mark
Visa Internaional has more than 5,00,000 ATMs in 120 countries in the Visa Global ATM network. In 1998, Visa added more than 60,000 ATMs world-wide to its network, a 12 per cent increase as compared with the previous year.
Corp Bank CMD bags award
Corporation Bank chairman and managing director RS Hugar has been conferred the Internatioinal Goldstar Award 1999 by theLondon-based India International Friendship Society. The award was presented to Hugar in London by India's high commissioner to United Kingdom, LAlit Mansingh on June 23, 1999.
Khaddarwal Leasing application rejected
RBI has rejected application for certificate of registration submitted by the Uttar Pradesh-based Khaddarwal Leasing. The company cannot transact the business of a non-banking financial institution.
