Cardnival '99

The Bombay Cards Manufacturers & Dealers Association (BCMDA) is holding an exhibition "Cardnival 99" on wedding cards, greeting cards, visiting cards, paper products, social stationery, gifts and novelties from July 1 to July 4 in Mumbai. The core idea behind the exhibition is to bring the vast yet unorganised markeet under one roof. About 180 manufacturers and dealers will take part in the exhibition.

Kelvinator's double door refrigerator

The home appliances major AB Electrolux has launched its Kelvinator 315 litre double door refrigerator under its premium gold collection. This is the first direct cool double door refrigerator over 300 litre category. The new range offers cyclic defrosting system, reversible door option, flat back and an ajustable freezer shelf. It also comes with multi position wire and bottle shelves, bottle shelf corner for odd sized bottles and can shelf in freezer door. Its cyclic defrosting system ensures auto defrost in every cycle and ensures fasterand uniform cooling.

Seagram's Passport wins award

Seagram's Passport Scotch has been awarded the WorldStar 08 Packaging award by the World Packaging Organization. Passport was the only winner in the liquor category from India this year. The Passport Scotch mono-carton was adjudged as unique on three aspects: innovation, functionality and value-addition. The WorldStar awards are an annual, international event organized by the WPO, with entries from all over the world. This year's award ceremony was held at Dusseldorf, Germany, in June.

Nivea's special promo

JL Morison India Ltd has relaunched Nivea Soap with Skin Lipids. Nivea is also conducting special promotion for this international quality soap by giving customers one soap free on the purchase of two Nivea soaps. With the launch of the new product, Nivea claims to have brought to India the only soap with skin lipids which moisturises and nourishes the skin as per the skin's requirement. Nivea has a wide range of skin care productswhich are being unveiled in the domestic market by Morison India.

Birla 3M brings Scotchcal 7725

Birla 3M launched its special effect range of films, Scotchcal 7725 series in India on Monday. The Scotchcal range of films will give customer the option of having a uniform apprearance of etched or sand-blasted effect on glass without actually undergoing these processes. The film provides an easy application on any flat transparent meterial along with flexibility in choosing complex designs.

Vinod Apparels launches shirts

Garment shop Vinod Apparels has launched its own premium formal brand of shirts - Barrister. Targeted at professionals, the shirt is made of 100 per cent cotton fabric and is priced at Rs 690. Vinod Apparels offers branded garments for men including top brands like Zodiac, Pepe, Wrangler, Byford and Crocodile.

Essem rides on Maanav brand

Essem India Ltd's recently launched brand Maanav includes Normopan SF (Rs 96 for 30 tablets) for diabetic patients; Aloe Nikhar(Rs 189 for 30 capsules)) to enhance body and skin tone; Memosharp (Rs 198 for 30 capsules) which is said to sharpen brain activity and improve alertness; Vigoor Max (Rs 230 for 10 capsules) to enhance energy levels for the stress-burdened man; and Herbal Tea (Rs 60 per 100 gm), as a healthier substitute for tea and coffee. Targeted at the Rs 700 crore herbal product market, the Manav brand is expected to post sales of Rs 50 crore in the first year. It is being supported by a distribution network comprising 20 state-wise distributors, 1,500 area-wise stockists and nine lakh retail outlets.
