Bhubaneswar, July 29: After setting up its first international centre in Seoul in collaboration with South Korea's Prime Group, Calcutta-based Globsyn is all set to open Technocampus centres in Dubai, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Thailand. While the partners for the Dubai and Bangladesh ventures have been finalised, talks are on for selecting partners for Malaysia and Thailand."We are going to sign agreements with our Bangladesh and Dubai partners in July and August respectively," chairman & CEO of Globsyn Bikram Dasgupta told The Financial Express. He, however, refused to divulge names of the partners saying "that would hamper our business interest as the agreements have not been signed".
On Monday, Globsyn signed an agreement with Aabsys Information Technology Ltd to set up a centre at Bhubaneswar. "Orissa is in line with Globsyn's expansion plans," he said, adding that "discussions are at an advanced stage for setting up Technocampus units in Delhi and Bangalore also."
He said his company wouldconcentrate on the high-end software education through synergistic alliances with leading software companies like IBM Global Services and Sun Microsystems. "We want to focus on our marketplace," he said.
But, he added that Globsyn may diversify into the "Lifelong Learning System" which, according to him, is a natural extension of the Technocampus.Lifelong Learning System is an education model to constantly update the knowledge of working professionals.
