Court restrains 3 companies from using Ceat trademark

The Delhi high court has restrained three companies manufacturing and selling tyres and tubes from using the "Ceat" brand name and appointed local commissioners to take into custody the offending goods.

Acting on a petition filed by Ceat Ltd, justice MSA Sidiqui said use of word "Ceat", logo "Rhino" and slogan "Born Tough" by Best Year Rubber Industries, Dashmesh Rubber Industries and Gobind Rubber Industries amounted to infringement of petitioner's trademark.
