The film industry in Chennai will raise funds through cultural shows to provide succour to the families of soldiers who laid down their lives during the ongoing Kargil operations. Film stars will present shows at Coimbatore on July 11, at Madurai on July 16 and in Chennai on July 18. Over 11,000 employees working at the Hardwar plant of state-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, have decided to donate one day's salary and have written individually to the jawans fighting at Kargil, commending their valiant fighting against Pak-sponsored infiltrators.
