Mumbai, June 16: Shipment periods in all live cases of cotton waste quota exports have been granted general extension up to July 31, 1999, to enable them to complete the fulfillment of export obligations against their respective registered quantities.According to the office of the textile commissioner all the concerned exporters holding the quota and valid certificate for the cotton season 1997-98 (October 97-September 98), but not having exported full or part of the quota so far and in which cases action for forfeiture of bank guarantee has not been completed shall have to revalidate their respective bank guarantees up to January 31, 2000, with a further claim period of three months, that is up to April 30, 2000.
All the concerned exporters shall have to inform in writing to the textile commissioner regarding their willingness to avail the facilities of extended shipment period on or before June 24, and submit the revalidated bank guarantee on or before June 28, 1999.
The exporters failing torevalidate accordingly will be considered as not interested in availing of the facility of this extension and action will be taken without making any further reference to them in this regard.
