New Delhi, June 16: Bangalore-based software solutions company Visesh Infosystems Ltd will make a foray into medical transcription business. In the offing is setting up a transcription centre in Delhi and imparting transcription-related training in several cities.In an effort to tap the global market, the company is setting up offices in several countries such as the US and Canada and has entered into marketing tie-ups in West Asia.
Speaking to The Financial Express, Visesh Infosys chairman Raakesh Bhhatia said the company would be investing around Rs 1.5 crore in setting up the medical transcription centre in Delhi. To start with, the centre will house 20 employees, officials said.
The company will also start transcription-related training programme in the Capital, Bhhatia said. A similar training programme is already on in Bangalore.
Visesh has already tied up with a US-based company for sourcing transcription projects, officials said.
To make its software solutions globally available, thecompany has recently set up marketing offices in Boston and Toronto. Similar marketing tie-ups are in the pipeline for other countries.
The company is launching its second development centre in the Capital. Visesh has a development centre in Bangalore.
The company has just launched its enterprise resource planning software package, Businesspro, targeted at small and medium businesses. The company will be offering its product in the price range of Rs 15 lakh, with an implementation time frame of two and four months, company officials said.E-commerce projects will be the other focus area of the company in the coming year.
Visesh Infosystems had posted a turnover of Rs 7.5 crore in 1998. It expects to cross the Rs 12 crore mark in 1999, officials said.
