Adroit targets ERP package at SMEs

Sudipto Dey
New Delhi, June 13: Delhi-based Adroit Computer Technique plans to test international waters with Business 2000, an enterprise resource planning suite of software solutions developed in-house. On the domestic front, the company is targeting the low-cost ERP package at small and medium companies. The ERP solutions have received favourable response from corporates in the UK, said company officials. The company might develop a UK-version of the package, customised to the needs of corporates in that country, said Adroit Computer Technique executive director Sandeep Talwar.

The company also plans to take the product to the US market at a latter date, officials added. Adroit recently set up a fully-owned subsidiary in the US. Specifically tailored to the needs of Indian corporates, the ERP package comes in several modules. The cost of implementing the package (depending on the number of modules) can range between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 15 lakh, officials said.

Adroit has implemented several of the modulesindividually in more than a dozen companies in the domestic market over the last few month, said uAnother focus area for the company is developing web-based transaction solutions, said Talwar. Adroit is in the process of setting up servers in the US to offer services such as complete management of transaction-oriented web-based resources. Adroit has invested over $2,50,000 in kickstarting its US subsidiary, officials said. Putting up off-shore facilities for clients will be another focus area for the company.
