Plans afoot to put comexes in line with SEs
The Government of India is planning to come out with a stream of reforms that will put trading system in the 22-odd commodity exchanges in the country on par with that of the stock exchanges.
FMC irked over Hessian Exchange's action plan; grills top brass
The Forwards Markets Commission (FMC) has questioned the action plan drafted by the board of The East India Jute & Hessian Exchange (EIJHE) to end the imbroglio, which has stalled all proceedings from February this year.
Formation of COMESA upsets tea industry
The Indian tea industry has expressed concern over the formation of the Common Market for Eastern and South Africa (COMESA). The industry has asked the government to project its cause at the bilateral level with the government of Egypt, which also fall in the Comesa block.
