New Delhi, June 6: After establishing its brand name in the premium leisure wear business, French major Lacoste plans to expand its product range by introducing perfumes and premium-priced watches in India in the next few weeks.``We will launch four of our internationally acclaimed perfumes within the next three months in India. The premium-priced watch collection will follow shortly,'' managing director of Sports and Leisure Apparel Limited (SLAL) Jayant Raj Kochar told PTI here today.
SLAL is the authorised licensee user of Lacoste brand in India. Elaborating on the new launches, Kochar said perfume brands Lacoste is bringing to India include `Booster', `Pour Homne' and `Odisport'. While Booster is a unisex perfume, Pour Homne is targeted at Indian males, he said. ``We will also launch a brand targeted specially at teenagers,'' Kochar said while declining to divulge the brand name and other details of this product.
Priced within the Rs 1,500-3,000 range, these perfumes would be sold from selectLacoste boutiques across the country. Kochar said that none of these perfume brands would be manufactured in India at present.
Answering queries on the launch of its watch range, Jayant Kochar said these would be available by the year end. Declining to reveal either the price range or model details for these watches, he said they would be priced on par with Swiss major Omega.
In addition to these new launches, Lacoste also unveiled plans to make India an export hub for supplying its Polo shirts internationally.
