Agra, June 5: A software technology park would be set up in Agra as part of the Uttar Pradesh government's efforts to turn it into an information technology city, minister of state for electronics Aridaman Singh said here today. Inaugurating a seminar on info-city, Singh said the information technology city would be set up as a joint venture with the state government providing the infrastructure and the private sector investing in the project. The problem of erratic power supply would be overcome with the help of a Rs 90-crore power supply improvement plan for the Taj area, he said.
