Green Channel finance scheme from Carrier

In a bid to make hassle-free finance available to prospective customers, Carrier Aircon has launched a new scheme, called Green Channel. In association with Countrywide, the scheme allows a customer to buy an air-conditioner by making a 50 per cent down payment.

The remaining amount can be paid in 8-12 monthly installments. The scheme cuts down processing time, as it does not require too much paper work -- no proof of income is needed, only proof of identity and residence. The scheme can be availed of at any of Carrier's 600 dealer shops across the country or at its Comfort Shops.

Birla 3M security films

Birla 3M has launched its 3M Scotchshield safety and security films in Bangalore. 3M Scotchshield is a range of tough, transparent and coloured film, applied to the interior surface of windowpanes to reduce damage and injury caused by broken glass. The new product is expected to resist entry if the pane is broken. Designed on the multi-layeredfilm technology, 3M films are available in India in three ranges depending on performance levels. The thickness of these films varies from 0.05 mm, 0.01 mm to 0.15 mm.

Colgate flexibrush

Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd has introduced `Colgate Active Flexible' toothbrush priced at Rs 25. The toothbrush has been designed to ``adjust to the contours of the mouth and teeth with an innovative dual component handle with an active hinge and a flexible upper end, enabling the toothbrush to move in all directions.''

The company is aggressively pursuing a consumer-centric strategy of providing relevant quality products that satisfy consumers' evolving oral care needs. This launch will strengthen its competitive edge in the toothbrush category, it feels.

Corporate India team finishes fifth in golf tourney

The Blenders Pride Corporate India team, which participated in the World Corporate Golf Challenge for the first time, finished at fifth position. Digvijay Singh and Sheeraz Kalra scored 111, whilePradeep Patel and Sudhir Patel scored 121.

APESMA/Deak in varsity sets up liaison office

The APESMA/Deakin University, Australia, a leading distance education management programme provider, has acquired official liaison status in India and will set up its office in New Delhi.

To be called Education & Training for Professionals Pty Ltd (ETP) the office will facilitate a better one-to-one interaction between the participants in India and the university in Australia. Currently available at four levels, there are over 350 students from about 250 leading organisations across the country enrolled in the programme.
