Ramco Systems plans to double client base

Bangalore, June 1: Ramco Systems, a division of Ramco Industries and a comphrehensive human resource management solutions provider, has decided to intensify its operations in India by doubling its clientele during fiscal 1999-2000, the company's director sales-banking and finance (Asia operations) Chandramohan Nair said.

Nair told The Financial Express that, ``Ramco Systems is looking at enhancing our installed base over the next few years. We have plans to intensify our Indian operations by doubling our client base, during the fiscal.'' In the near future, the company plans to widen its target audience to IT sector, he said.

Currently, Ramco Systems' clientele comprises financial and banking institutions like ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, ANZ Grindlays Bank, IDBI and National Stock Exchange.

He said, ``Ramco Systems has decided to cash in on the recent economic challenges like deregularisation and globalisation. Many companies have their own in-house applications running that are neither integratednor flexibile to cope with changing business requirements. So we are targeting leading financial and service institutions in the country to equip them with modern tools for management.''

Ramco Systems would have a significant business scope in the Indian market as currently human resources management has changed dramatically from back room data gathering and wage administration to a strategic applications, he added.

He said, Ramco HRMS is an enterprise human resource solution package that has comprehensive and integrated applications to meet human resource management requirement of any corporate.

Ramco Systems's HRMS has six application modules including personnel, payroll, benefits, training, HR analyst and kiosk. The personnel module is expected to assist a company enable principles of personnel mastery and competancy management. ``These modules address a wide range of areas enabling institutions face today's key human resource challenges including the best business practices in the areas ofemployee recruitment, salary planning, man-power planning, job reengineering and appraisals.'' he said.

The cost of these modules ranges between Rs 20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh depends on configurations, customisation, locations and number of users.

The company offers self-service capabilities in connection with personal information, analysis of HR processes and consolidate details of employee particulars, skills and aspirations.

Nair said, in terms of turnover, Ramco Systems has targeted to grow by 10 crore over a period of three years'. During 1998-99, the company posted a turnover of Rs 250 crore. Ramco Systems has 30,000 installations worldwide, he added.
