Mumbai, May 28: JK Paper, a division of the JK Corp, has entered into a marketing arrangement with Arjo Wiggins Fine Paper, a fine paper division of Arjo Wiggins Appelton, UK, one of the leading manufacturers of quality paper in the world.The marketing arrangement with Arjo Wiggins has been there for the past couple of months. However, the formal announcement and the launch of Arjo Wiggins products was made on Thursday May 27 jointly by JK Paper's marketing director AK Sood and Nick Mason, Arjo Wiggins chief of South Asian markets.
"Unlike some of the world suppliers of good paper, ours is a long-term arrangement," said Mason. "We are confident of the markets here."
Arjo Wiggins has 44 paper manufacturing units spread out in 11 countries. It's for the first time JK has entered into such a marketing arrangement with any foreign paper manufacturer to introduce `premium' range of papers in the country.
Of over 30 different varieties manufactured by Arjo Wiggins, JK will initially introduce three of thetop end products--Conqurer, Rives and Stratakolour. Each of these three products have 10-12 different varieties.
