EURO RSCG rated among top five, globally

EURO RSCG Worldwide's global rating has jumped from seventh to fifth position, according to Advertising Age's Annual Agency Report. In the US, it has been ranked tenth, posting a rise of over 85 per cent in gross income. This marks its strong growth in the USA, where it had never figured in the top 10 rankings earlier.

``This is an incredible rate of development, achieved through strong organic growth and important acquisitions in key markets,'' says EURO RSCG Worldwide chairman and CEO Bob Schmetterer.

The agency's worldwide gross income in 1998 stood at $ 1,018.7 b. Its Indian arm, which started functioning in April 1996, registered a capitalised billing of Rs 110 crore in 98-99 and was ranked thirteenth by A&M magazine.

Scrub from Ayurvedic Concepts

Ayurvedic Concepts has added a gentle exfoliating scrub to its existing range of ayurvedic personal care products. Made of walnut shell, crab apple and wheatgerm oil, the scrub, says the company,acts as an effective deep cleanser, removes dead cells and encourages natural skin renewal. The scrub is available in 50 gm packs, priced at Rs 60 in all the major cities.

New shirt brand from Van Heusen

Madura Garments, a division of Coats Viyella Ltd, has recently introduced European Label - a sub-brand of shirts under the Van Heusen brand. Positioned as `the most fashionable shirt brand' European Label is in tune with the times and is available in a stunning array of textures and fabric. Henceforth, all fashionable collections of Van Heusen will be launched under this label. The shirts, priced between Rs 845 and Rs 975 are available at exclusive Van Heusen showrooms, Shoppers Stop and other premium menswear outlets.

LG awards for Sachin, Dravid

Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid have bagged the LG Award, consisting of a gift voucher of USD 500 for having scored centuries in the match against Kenya in the World Cup. The earlier winner of the award was Saurav Ganguly for his knockagainst South Africa. LGEIL had announced the awards for every Indian player who either scored a century or took 6 wickets in a single match during the World Cup.
