LG Soft to showcase Java, Jini techs

Mini K Joseph
Bangalore, May 26: Sun Microsystems has appointed LG Soft India its authorised Java centre in India to showcase its Java and Jini expertise in the areas of e-commerce and embedded systems. Sun's new devices are expected to function as an independent platform of ``write once and run anywhere.''

Sun Microsystems chairman and executive managing director for Asia South Lionel Lim said, "as we enter this new, post PC-era of ubiquitous computing, where the Net extends from home to school to work, Sun is the only company poised to provide high-end technical advantage. Our revolutionary Java and Jini technologies have made it possible for anyone to access computing anywhere, anytime and on any device."

According to LG Soft India president and managing director Lalit Ahuja, the centre would be developed into a world class facility which would showcase embedded Java and Jini applications and Java powered enterprise commerce solutions in line with LG's broader commitment to Sun's technologies.
