Dabur traces history of Ayurveda
In a bid to cash in on the prevailing global enthusiasm for Ayurveda, Dabur Research Foundation, in a joint venture with Tata Interactive System, has launched a CD-ROM on Ayurveda named Ayurveda Authentica. Structured in the shape of an imaginary ancient monument having three levels, the CD-ROM takes the user through the history of Ayurveda, its concepts and their applications.Priced at Rs 1,199 for Indian markets and at $39.99 for the overseas market, the CD is targeted at the well-educated, health conscious, upper middle class consumer, who is vivacious and open-minded.
Corporate teams for world golf championships
Winners of the Blenders Pride Corporate Golf Championship from India -- AV Thomas (Digvijay Singh and Sheeraz Kalra) and Anti-Friction Bearings (Pradeep and Sudhir Patel) -- will represent India at the World Corporate Golf Challenge being held in Spain from May 23-25. Teams from all over the world, who have won their own national corporatechampionships will participate in the tournament.
The two teams won the qualifying event for the world meet in Mumbai. The Blenders Pride championship, the first of its kind in India, had a participation of 82 teams, including Sahara Airlines, Standard Chartered Bank, Essar group, Air India, Citibank etc.
Pepsi launches special promo in Delhi eateries
Pepsi Foods Ltd has launched a special promotion in various restaurants in the Capital during the World Cup, called `It's My World Cup'. The promo, valid till June 20, has a Cricket Wheel - a specially created table-top version of a cricket stadium, with slots marked as runs, caught, bowled or run out. The wheel can be spun, with a white ball thrown in. The slot at which the ball stops decides the fate of the player (caught, bowled etc). The prizes for the game are special Pepsi World Cup key chains, bail shaped sling pens and bat shaped fridge magnets.
The promo is running at over 100 restaurants in Delhi.

Travel Corporation of India (TCI) has launched a new interactive website (http//www.tcindia.com). Designed by Rediff on the net, the site focuses on providing details on a wide range of travel and leisure options both in India and abroad.
In keeping with the `fun' element, the site is colourful, full of graphics, maps and details of rates and itineraries to help holiday-makers plan their holidays.
Archies goes global
Greetings card major Archies has opened an outlet in Abu Dhabi as part of its strategy to go global to target the non-resident Indian population. "In our continued effort to provide quality outlets for better shopping experience, we have opened Archies gallery in Abu Dhabi which is the first of its kind in the entire Gulf region," CMD Anil Moolchandani, said.
