Motorola ties up with Duet
Motorola's semiconductor products division has signed an agreement to licence technology and acquire certain assets of Duet, a US-based custom library solutions company. The agreement provides Motorola with a design services engineering team with a wide breadth of EDA/CAD and VLSI design/layout expertise. It also compliments Motorola semiconductor's existing participation in India.

Travel Hour on Discovery
Discovery Communications has recently launched `Travel Hour' on Doordarshan's Metro channel.`Travel Hour' is a one-hour block featuring premiere adventure and travel programming about the people, places and cultures that share our world. The programme would be aired every Saturday. Discovery Communications India managing director Kiran Karnik said, "continuing with the network's overall promise, we now bring to India the best in adventure and travel programming from around the world".

There are currently over 10 million users of Linux operating system in the world. According to a study by IDC, the operating system is expected to grow at a rate of 25 per cent over the next four years.

Bacardi-Martini to implement ERP
Bacardi-Martini has decided to implement QAD's MFG/PRO ERP software for its Indian operations. According to Bacardi-Martini IT head Alok Biswas, the ERP software will help the company to provide selectivequery facilities to customers over the internet and view statements, order processing status, dispatch details, etc, said QAD Asia Pacific release.
