Symantec launches Norton SystemWorks

New Delhi, May 19: Symantec, a world leader in utility suites, has introduced an integrated product suite, Norton SystemWorks 2.0, comprising five utilities -- Norton Utilities 4.0, Norton Antivirus 5.0, Norton Cleansweep 4.5, Norton CrashGuard 4.0 and a six-month subscription to Norton web service.

The suite will be available through Norton's distributor Godrej Pacific Technology Ltd. The product is available at a retail price of Rs 3,590.Commenting on the availability of the integrated utility suite, Symantec Corporation country manager (India) Kerrie-Anne Turner said: "Norton SystemWorks provides all necessary tools in one easy-to-use, cost-efficient suite. The enhanced level of integration across the products such as LiveUpdate which will check for updates to a Norton SystemWorks 2.0 products making it the most focussed, intelligent problem solving tool available."According to the company, Norton Utilities 4.0 offers consumers a refined tool set that excels at addressing relevant computing problemsand offering intelligible recommendations. It incorporates Norton System Check, a programme that allows users to quickly diagnose their systems in a single step. Besides, it features Connection Doctor, an innovative modem trouble shooting feature and the new Registry Doctor providing extra protection for Windows and other applications by finding and repairing hidden corruption in the Windows registry.
