Tata Infotech, US co launch computer education centresTata Infotech Ltd on Wednesday launched computer education centres in association with US-based CBT systems for conducting training through interactive software courses. CBT Systems will provide technology, software and methodology for conducting the courses. The CBT approach to computer education is based on interactive educational software that acts as an instructor and leads the students through training and is certification oriented.
FCS India gets vendor status
FCS India, a software solution provider based in Noida, has been appointed the sole outsourcing partner for one year by an Australian software company. The Australian company is involved in making security software and FCS would be the back-end development partner. FCS would be writing a full-scale browser application for the company and would have marketing rights for the browser.
Lanbit signs distribution pacts
Lanbit Allion of Taiwan has signed distributionpacts with ACI Computers India and Savex Ltd for its complete range of modems. The company has also launched two new modems, an internal card for internet-ready PCs and another one with a USB interface standards having 56kbps capacity.
Mphasis in JV with US co
Mphasis, the Jerry Jaitirth Rao-promoted company, has launched a joint venture with Evit-Caretni Inc of US. The company will design and develop interactive interfaces for web and internet based applications. Evit is a leading media design firm in the US. Based in California, the venture will have a dedicated offshore centre in Mumbai.

TVS Electronics has been awarded the ISO 9002 certification for the manufacture of UPS systems by The TUV Cert Certification Body of TUV Anlagenbtechnik GmbH. TVS Electronics has put together a quality system to cater to the needs of quality and consistency required by the European and Indian markets.

NIIT education centre in Kenya soon
NIIT will soon launch a training centre in Kenya to take the company's education services to 20 countries. "The centre, to be opened on Friday, will be on a franchisee basis and NIIT will offer all assistance in the functioning by the existing global infrastructure," a company executive said.
