Tata Electric, BSES to bid for strategic sale of APSEB
Tata Electric Companies (TEC) and BSES, the country's two largest power distributors, may find themselves as contenders for acquiring a controlling stake in the distribution company being formed by splitting the Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board.
ABN Amro Bank takes over BankAm's retail business for $200 mn
ABN Amro Bank has announced the acquisition of Bank of America's (BankAm) retail-banking businesses across India, Taiwan and Singapore in a $200-million deal. The acquired retail operations of BankAm is to be merged with ABN Amro Bank's consumer-banking division.
