NEW DELHI, May 17: The US-based $750 million Sunrider International plans to set up a 100 per cent subsidiary in India to manufacture and market its range of healthfoods and personal care products.``We have already invested $100,000 in India and hope to invest a further $10 million for a manufacturing facility in the country within a few months,'' Sunrider International president Oi Lin Chen told PTI.
Sunrider India Pvt Ltd, which plans to sells its products through direct marketing, has applied to Foreign Investment Promotion Board for approval, she said.
Initially, Sunrider would be importing the products from its facility in the US and start manufacturing the products once the location for the plant was finalised.
