Rabo India in talks with NCD, NabardRabo India, the Indian subsidiary of the Dutch finance company Rabobank International, is negotiating with National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) and Nabard for strategic alliance to provide agricultural credit. "Government has asked the company to enter into a partneship with NCDC for its venture into the field of agricultural credit, where we feelforeign funds are heavily required," agriculture minister Sompal said.
Call to set up bank for builders
The Phdcci has suggested setting up of an `exclusive builders bank' for providing easy access of funds for the housing sector. In a communique to the RBI, the chamber said National Housing Bank does not lend money to builders. "It only lends money to housing boards for further lending to low income group," the Phdcci said.
