Bangalore, Apr 13: Accelerated Networks (India) Ltd, a 100 per cent subsidiary of the US-based Accelerated Networks Inc, has set up an R&D and software resource development centre in Bangalore.Set up with an initial investment of Rs 1 crore, the EOU will complement the R&D centre in California, company country manager S Nagendra said. In its first year of operations, the company expects to do business worth $30 billion, he added.
Speaking at press briefing here on Tuesday, Nagendra said the centre would focus on software designing of two customer premises equipment and a set of exchange-based equipment. The products would also include customer-located integrated access device and central office-based multi-service access platforms. In addition to a full range of voice and data services over a single local access facility, the company's products would also comprise automated service selection and provisioning features, he explained.
