Avon launches Color Trend range
Avon has launched its `Color Trend' range of colour cosmetics in the Indian market. Starting with lipsticks, the company will launch other products from the range by the middle of this year. Color Trend lipsticks are priced at Rs 75 for a 4 gm tube. The lipsticks come in shades of brown, maroon and pink with catchy names such as Chocoholic, Heartbeat, Soft Cappucino, Appricotta, Night Wine, Just Brown, Teddy Bear and Amethyst.

General Engineering launches two new OHP models
General Engineering and Spares has launched its upgraded `GE Esquire series' in the Overhead Projector (OHP) market. The two new models launched include `Esquire 1999' and `Esquire Hi-lumen 1999'. These upgraded products replace the previous models in the same series and lay a strong emphasis on brightness and image quality. The GE Esquire Series is priced at Rs 16,225.

Gold coins to commemorate Khalsa tercentenary
The Rs 400 crore Parekh Platinum Ltd (PPL) has launched aseries of gold coins to commemorate 300 years of the birth of the Khalsa. The coins bear motifs relating to the Khalsa Panth like Khanda, Ek Omkar, Golden Temple, Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind Singh. Branded Pplatini, these are available in 1, 2, 5 and 10 gm, and priced at Rs 520, Rs 1015, Rs 2475, and Rs 4895 respectively. PPL wll donate Rs 5 per coin to local gurdwaras.

Madura makes bold moves
Madura Garments, a division of Coats Viyella Ltd, has introduced its Spring/ Summer '99 collection called Bold Moves. The new collection of shirts is from Van Heusen's progressive range. It is targeted at the corporate wearer who looks beyond the conventional. For the first time complimentary and contrast colours are woven to create a unique cross colour. Available at Van Heusen showrooms, Shoppers Stop and other premium menswear outlets, these shirts are priced between Rs 845 and Rs 975.
