Mumbai, April 11: JK Helene Curtis Ltd will re-introduce its Premium brand of shampoo, which was under test launch, with a new design and improved formulation. The company will also introduce a new volume size in the shampoo when the new Premium Shampoo rolls out.According to JK Helene Curtis executive director Nanu N Mehta: ``During the test launch phase we discovered that the consumer wanted a different kind of a cap in the shampoo bottle and also a change in the viscosity of the shampoo.''
The company is now making these corrections and will introduce the new Premium shampoo across the country, next month. The test launch was carried out in parts of Gujarat and Maharashtra only and in one volume size of 500 ml.
The company will now offer the consumer a choice in volume with the introduction of a 250 ml bottle at Rs 50. The price of the 500 ml shampoo bottle will remain unchanged at Rs 90.
The change in design and formulation of Premium shampoo comes close on the heels of the relaunch of Tru Tone,the hair dye brand of JK Helene Curtis. The company plans to launch around 10 products this year.
The company has a wide portfolio of products which include the Premium range of toiletries, the Park Avenue range of toiletries for men and the Tru Tone brand of hair dye.
