State announces slew of sops for multiplexes
The Maharashtra government has announced a series of sops for the development of multiplexes in the state. A string of corporates led by Manmohan Shetty headed Ad Labs, Zee Cinema, CIDCO, Ashok Bijlee and Priya Village, Shringar Films of SS Rao are setting up multiplexes in Maharashtra.
Delhi must join WTO millennium trade talks: EU
European Commission vice-president Leon Brittan said that a comprehensive round of multilateral trade negotiations is necessary in the current economic climate to stimulate trade and growth and to reduce the risk of protectionism.
Reserve Bank closes tap for 14-yr paper, mops up Rs 3,000 cr
The Reserve Bank of India closed the tap for the 12.40% 14-year bond after mopping up the targeted Rs 3,000 crore. The 12.40% 2013 government stock was privately placed with RBI and simultaneously put on sale through the open market window.
