Software valuations turn attractive yet again

Karnataka growers allowed to sell unauthorised tobacco
The Union commerce ministry has permitted virginia tobacco growers of Karnataka to market their unauthorised cultivated stocks of 1998 tobacco season, following representation by the Tobacco Board.
UTI trims coupon by 1.75% on latest monthly income plan
Unit Trust of India has cut the coupon on its latest monthly income plan (MIP) by a whopping 175 basis points. In its first MIP for 1999, UTI has offered a coupon of 10.75% for the monthly option or an annualised return of 11.30%.
