Poland not to raise durum wheat duty

REUTERS
Warsaw: Poland's deputy agriculture minister Jerzy Plewa last week denied a Main Customs Office (GUC) statement that duty on imported durum wheat had been raised to 20 per cent.

"There were no changes to the duty on durum wheat," Plewa told Reuters. Poland does not produce its own high-gluten wheat. There is no duty on durum wheat imports from members of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) while the high-gluten wheat bought from the European Union is levied with a 10 per cent duty.
