Higher insurance cost hits Air India
The recent turmoil in the aviation reinsurance market--triggered by the Swiss Air crash off the coast of Canada--has forced Air India to pay almost 30 per cent higher premium for seeking an insurance cover during 1999-2000.
Kalyani Steel, US firm join hands for speciality steel
Kalyani Steels Ltd, the speciality steel manufacturing company of the Rs 1,600-crore Pune-based Kalyani Group, and Carpenter Technology Corporation of the US have finalised a joint venture for manufacturing and distributing new speciality steel.
