Carryforward rates surge to 26% on Mumbai bourse
The carry forward rates on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) surged to touch a high of 40% during intra-session before finally stabilising in the band of 25.8% to 26.5% on an annualised basis.

National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL) chief CB Bhave has said that every investor who has suffered losses owing to the snag at the Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd (SHCIL) end would be compensated.
Nasdaq slides along with software firm Oracle
Oracle corp., a leading technology company, paid a price for failing to meet Wall Street analysts' targets on Friday -- casting a pall on the sector overall. Nasdaq said the Oracle spill was responsible for a loss of roughly 10 points off the index Friday.
