Alcatel's one-touch pocket cell phone

Alcatel Professional & Consumer Division (Alcatel PCD), part of the telecommunications giant, Alcatel, has launched the One Touch Pocket cellular phone in association with MaxTouch, the cellular service operator in Mumbai. The cellular phone will be available through distributors and retail outlets of Max Touch.

The product weighs only 125 gm and comes with a built-in modem and does not require an additional PCIMCA card. Its other features include a silent vibrator system that alerts the user of an in-coming call or message when set on silent.

Eco-friendly disposable paper cups

Delhi-based Manglam Ricinus Ltd has launched disposable paper cups. Made from food grade virgin SBS paper board, the cups are eco-friendly and completely biodegradable, says the company. Branded Merry Cups, they can be used for both cold and hot beverages. Convenient for parties, picnics and outings, the cups are available in attractive designs and in two sizes, 350 ml and 250ml in consumer packs of 50, for Rs 95 and Rs 85 respectively. Standard packing of 1000/2500 cups are also available for institutional sales.

Zodiac's Jacquard Francaise Collection

Keeping in mind the prevailing and future trends in colours, tones and designs in men's fashions internationally, Zodiac has launched its new Jacquard Francaise Collection of ties. Priced at Rs 380, the collection consists of contemporary, subtle designs on hand woven Jacquard fabric. The name of the range is a tribute to Joseph Marie Jacquard, the inventor of the Jacquard loom.

LG expands range of Health Air air-conditioners

LG has launched three new models of window air conditioners in its Health Air Systems range. The 1.5 tonne Heat Pump AC, which can maintain a comfortable temperature of upto 35 degrees even when outside temperatures are as low as 0 degree or less, can be used throughout the year, and is priced at Rs 32,000. It has also introduced two other window-type AC models. Priced at Rs 23,990, thesemodels have a tropical rotary type compressor that gives higher cooling efficiency, says the company.
