PUNE, Mar 8: The Rs 64-crore IT company Datapro Infoworld Ltd is in the process of restructuring its operations and is scouting for partners to chart its future course of business. The company has also been toying with the idea of going public this year. The company is in talks with potential partners who could bring in technology and equity into the company.Datapro is exploring further tie-up possibilities in the US, where it is all set to launch its newly-developed software products later this month.
Datapro Infoworld is part of the Rs 84-crore Datapro group of companies.
Datapro Infoworld has three divisions -- education, software consultancy and exports and the sales and support division which distributes software products and peripherals for Microsoft, Computer Associates APC, Corel and Visio, among others.
"Last three years have been devoted to product development which was a conscious decision taken by the company to create intellectual property to survive in the global IT market," saysSatish Duryodhan, head, engineering division. Datapro is launching these products at Envision - the Visio Developer Conference and the Microsoft Conference slated to be held in Chicago during the last week of March. These products are estimated to bring in $5.5 million over the next three years and $20 million in five years.
"Some of our products are being evaluated by Visio and Microsoft so that they could be integrated with their products," says Duryodhan. "This would provide an easier market access for our products considering the number of installations these companies have."
