Patnaik's exit leaves Orissa alumina projects in lurch
Alumina projects lined up by two leading corporate houses in Orissa during the last decade are in trouble, either due to political uncertainty or internal crisis. The change of guard in the Orissa Congress has cast a shadow on the future of at least two projects -- Utkal Alumina and Aditya Aluminium.
Rift over revenue sharing likely to stall Hinduja Vizag project
The financial closure for the 1,040mw Hinduja National Power Visakhapatnam power project may be delayed with its financiers and APTransco, the successor to the Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board, locked in a dispute over identification of the revenue stream for the project.
Ministry mulls Rs 9,000 cr plan to revive NTC mills
A Rs 9,000-crore revival and rehabilitation package for 150 odd mills of the National Textiles Corporation (NTC), will be in place within the next three months. Union minister of textiles, Kashiram Rana said the CCEA would take a decision on the report of the expert group set up to draw a blueprint on the revival package which was submitted to the government recently.
