Idma welcomes budgetThe Indian drug maufacturers'association (Idma) has welcomed the Union budget presented last week and said it proposed an action plan to double its exports in the next five years. "The pharmaceutical industry acknowledges the faith and confidence placed on this knowledge-based industry as a future `sunrise' industry," Idma president Dr G G Nair said in a statement.
Bharti BT bags ISP licence
Bharti BT Internet Ltd, a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and British Telecom has been awarded a national Internet Service Provider license by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). In the first phase, the services would be launched in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
Pentafour, Stan Lee tie-up
Pentafour Software has announced a tie-up with Stan Lee Media, the company that created popular comic characters including `Spiderman' and `The Incredible Hulk'. Stan Lee will contract Pentafour for content creation services.
Wisconsin to open satellitecampus
Wisconsin University, US, will open a `satellite campus' in Punjab investing several million US dollars, Wisconsin governor Tommy G Thompson said. Thompson told a meeting organised by the Greater Mysore Chamber of Industry (GMCI) in Bangalore that the campus will be initially confined to medicine and business management.
