Sydney, Feb 27: The Australian old and new crop milling wheat prices have moved lower on international market factors, AWB said in its weekly grain market report. The domestic Australian market remained quiet with a focus on the sorghum harvest, it said.Feedgrain prices continued to soften as a result of weak international markets, it said. Domestic markets continued to sit back, in anticipation of lower sorghum prices in the short to medium term, it said.
Canola prices continued to show sharp falls as reports of unexpected canola tonnages in the short term surface from Europe, it said. The pulses market continues to remain quiet with limited trading activity, it said.
Additional requirements for pulses should start to emerge over the next few months, particularly as there is a need to move tonnages from South Australia, it said.
