Delhi, Feb 24: Groundnut oil refined, on easy supply from Gujarat, plummeted by Rs 10-35 at Rs 625-840 a tin as per quality. Whereas, business in mill delivery edible oils remained sluggish. Mustard laha at local Lawrence Road, tumbled down by Rs 50-100 at Rs 1500-1700 a quintal.Among industrial oils, linseed oil crashed by Rs 150 at Rs 3950 a quintal due to dull demand from industrial consumers. In the expectation of imported inflow at Kandla, palm fatty slided down by Rs 150-200 at Rs 2250-2550 a quintal.
Wheat dips
On sale of 50,000 bags of official wheat to the flour mills at Rs 653 a quintal godown delivery, wheat dara, on the local market plummeted from Rs 715-725 to Rs 675-685 a quintal. Inflow of new wheat in MP, Gujarat, etc further subdued the market sentiment. New wheat in Indore and Gujarat was priced around Rs 700-725 a quintal. Wheat desi of Rajasthan and MP dipped by Rs 25 at Rs 800-1050 a quintal.
Roller flour mill atta, maida and suji moved down by Rs 10-30 at Rs 670, Rs 740and Rs 770 per bag, respectively in tandem. Arrival of wheat from neighbouring states was reported about 12,000 bags.
Arrival of new gram in MP is expected to touch one lakh bags daily, consequently, gram prices are likely to fall below the support price of Rs 895 a quintal. Gram MP and Rajasthan drifted lower by Rs 25-50 at Rs 900-1080 a quintal and gram dal was down by Rs 20-35 at Rs 1190-1380 a quintal. Bold masoor and dal arhar suffered a sharp setback of Rs 25-50 a quintal due to sluggish demand coupled with selling pressure.
Mumbai: A dull-to-subdued condition continued on the grains market following slack demand.
New Saurashtra wheat price eased by Rs 10 to 15 a quintal. Lokvan semi were on offer at Rs 775-811 and clean in the range of Rs 821-865. Tukadi were placed at Rs 800-811 and SW clean at Rs 850-900. Among old wheat, north Gujarat Tukadi were down to Rs 750-800 and 496 to Rs 825-875. Milling wheat were quiet at Rs 731-735.
Rice were steady. Perimal Punjab were quoted at Rs 950-1100 andsuperior at Rs 1200-1400.
Among pulses, green peas USA Heart were on offer at Rs 1300-1325 and Canadian at Rs 811-815. Moong Myanmar were traded at Rs 1611-1750 and Chinese at Rs 1800-1850. Australian gram ruled at Rs 1150. Rajmash chitra deshi and Chinese were traded at Rs 2500 and at Rs 2300, respectively. Red rajmash imported ready were placed at Rs 2300-2400 and consignments due in about a fornight's time were on offer at Rs 2100.
Sugar unchanged
On emergence of renewed buying support from local and UP parties, mill delivery sugar prices held steady. Mill delivery sugar Mawana new was quoted at Rs 1450, Dauralla at Rs 1357 and Modi at Rs 1365 a quintal.
Zeera, turmeric slump
Turmeric, on the local market slumped by Rs 50-100 at Rs 2800-4500 a quintal as arrival in the producing mandies was higher as compared to demand. Huge stock of turmeric was reported at Sangli.
Zeera also tumbled down by Rs 50-100 a quintal on weak Unjha advices due to increased inflow of new zeera.Indigenous poppyseed slipped by Rs 5 a kg as new crop season is approaching fast.
Among dry fruits, Indian kishmish nosedived by Rs 200-500 at Rs 3400-4500 per 40 kg on reports of bumper grapes crop in Maharashtra. Copra, on weak Kerala advices, declinedby Rs 50 a quintal.
