RPG Paging introduces astrological package

Our Bureau
Chennai: RPG Paging Services Ltd has recently introduced an astrological service to its pager subscribers in Tamil Nadu at an additional cost of Rs 41 per month, as part of its value-added services to customers. For an advance subscription of three months, the subscriber gets one month of predictions free. The company has tied up with Bala Josier a noted astrologer in the city for this `personalised' prediction day on day. As 90 per cent of its subscribers use English, the predictions would be in English. Tamil language pager subscribers would get this facility in three months, said senior marketing manager Avneesh Khosla. A similar package is to be introduced in Delhi and Ahmedabad. RPG had already introduced other services like secretarial services, information services on pagers, inter-city paging service, language services, entertainment guide etc.

The company will be expanding its e-mail prompt services as well. Currently RPG has a tie-up with Sprint and for those subscribers having a Sprint E-mailaddress, the pager provides a prompt. A similar tie-up will be extended to other internet providers to benefit more subscribers. The company also provides a remote paging facility which enables a customer to dial straight into the RPG network (without using the operator's services) scheduled through a modem and also ensuring confidentiality.
