Pune, Feb 7: Trade counsellor of the Israeli embassy Amiram Halevy-Laher has invited Indian companies to participate in the 14th international agricultural exhibition `Agritech 99' to be held at Haifa, Israel from September 5 to 9. A 100-member delegation from India will participate in the exhibition which will focus on advanced equipment and technologies, intensive growing methods, agro start-ups and ecological and environmental agrotechnologies.At a recent presentation at the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCAI), Halevy-Laher said state involvement had promoted interventions such as information transfer systems in this field. He said Israel had advanced in agro and information technology such as irrigation systems, greenhouses, dry land farming and medical technology, among others.
