I'm still not getting my due from the industry. But I've reached a point in my life where I've stopped cribbing. I do know people who don't like my success because I haven't taken anyone's help.I think the recent International Film Festival at Hyderabad was pathetic -- the organisation, the sound systems... But what's the use of my speaking out? No one listens.
I'm very lucky. I'm not greedy. So I wouldn't do certain things for money.Although, money is the most important thing in my life. Without it, I can't do anything. There's no point or limit as such -- money is such a thing you never feel you have enough.
I'm a major spendthrift. Clothes, jewellery! But I'm balanced with Masaba, my daughter.
You never know about relationships. People live together for 40-50 years and then divorce. So I can't say what will happen to me, what I will do... it does not bother me now, what people say.
I like Paris very much. Shopping is my main thing. I can shop all day, all night. I don't buy perfumes at all! There are so many other things! If someone left me a million dollars, I thing I'd go crazy... I live in a very small house. So I'd buy a bigger one. Travel. I love eating. Good food, good films... everything good in life, I want to enjoy.
I think shows are lucrative. It's business, very good business.
Money is not an evil. Its necessary to live. I like money very much. It's security for my old age. I take my own decisions with my money--finally, it is what I want to do.
But if you were to ask me, I'd say health is the most important thing in life. If my health is good, I can go anywhere, do so many things. I'd sail through life.
There's no point talking about charity. Do it quietly.
