Ind Auto seeks 10% two-year sales tax exemption for Kurla plant
Ind Auto, the 51:49 joint venture between Fiat India Automobiles and Premier Automobiles (PAL), has sought a 10% sales tax exemption for two years from the Maharashtra government. This concession pertains to the Kurla plant in north-east Mumbai, which Fiat India took over in January last year.
US firm signs pact with MSEB for hydel project
The Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) on Thursday signed a power-purchase agreement (PPA) with US-based Dodson Lindblom Inc to set up a 12mw hydel project in Bhandara district, Vidharbha. This will be the first hydel project to be implemented by a private company in the state.
ONGC third-quarter net up 22.5% at Rs 621 crore
The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) posted a net profit of Rs 621.04 crore between October and December last year, which was a 22.5% jump over its profits for the third quarter of the 1997-98 fiscal. The cumulative net profit for the first three quarters of this fiscal now goes up by 15.04% to Rs 1879.51 crore.
